Liked: Liked the garden outside
Disliked: No ventilation in toilet and room.

Good location, flawed service.

Liked: The location was ideal with plenty of parking. The mattress was comfortable and the room clean and well maintained. The breakfast was pretty good.
Disliked: I knew there was a wedding being held, but didn’t expect to be placed directly over the dance floor with loud music playing until midnight. We did try and move rooms but none were available. We couldn’t hear ourselves think it was so loud and made our stay very unpleasant and delayed our ability to relax and sleep after a long day. In addition, no soaps or toiletries were supplied, not even hand soap for the sink. We had to go and ask for them. Despite the mattress being comfortable, the pillows were like bags of cement. On the dresser there’s only a single UK plug. The others being replaced by EU style sockets…why?The staff were ok, but not motivated. It’s a lot of money for the level of service. I wouldn’t be staying there again.

Liked: The room was very clean, the staff were a little funny, I asked to have a late check out and they agreed, Then I had a call asking if I had left and not paid for the bill for the dinner. May i add it wasn't time to check out? we still had 30 minutes? But she had a bit of attitude with me. No, thank you for your stay, nothing! She made it feel like an effort to serve me.

Peaceful comfortable and friendly

Liked: A peaceful location just outside the village with ample parking and plenty of garden to enjoy. Very friendly and helpful staff and excellent food in the restaurant.
Disliked: Bizarrely the rooms have been designed with virtually no storage. I've never seen a room with so little. We had three coat hangers between two of us with an open hanging rail. There was a cubby hole in the desk/dressing table. That's it. Bedside tables had no drawers, there were no units of any kind and therefore nowhere to put anything out of sight or private. You don't always want your underwear on show to housekeeping! It meant that we had to live out of our suitcases for three days which I thought was very poor indeed. The hanging issue was not really a problem as I always carry spare hangers myself but to have no room safe, drawer or even a cupboard into which you could put anything was a first for me and I'm really surprised as the room had clearly been recently refurbished to a high standard.

Clean and spacious but annoying...

Liked: Spacious and clean rooms and friendly staff
Disliked: Breakfast was average, only option of orange juice as a cold drink other than water. Scrambled egg didn’t look edible.The wedding party children were very disrespectful and spent the night running around all the hotel inside and outside shouting and slamming doors.

AWFUL, DISAPPOINTING, NEVER AGAIN!

Liked: breakfast was all you can eat and better than wetherspoons
Disliked: The staff are rude and unhelpful, we paid for a garden room which overlooked overgrown bushes and a wall. (pictured) We were pre-warned there was a wedding to be held on the night of our stay which we accepted as we were told music would be off at 23:00 however this proceeded into early hours with children running along the halls and banging on doorsThe room carpets were stained and the bed was fraying! (pictured) The Bathroom was ridiculously small! To access the toilet you had to stand against the sink and suck in while moving around the door frame! (pictured). Utterly disappointed with our stay and will never be returning! Maybe the owner should consider new staff and better advertising to present what customers are really receiving on their stay!
