The Spotlight on Studio Allston Hotel

Artsy, Riverfront Hotel with a Bold Personality

Modern and creatively styled, the Studio Allston Hotel sits by the Charles River in the Allston neighborhood, just minutes from Harvard University and Boston’s top music venues. This boutique hotel blends bold contemporary design with spacious comfort, making it a standout choice for travelers looking for something a little different. With free Wi-Fi, on-site dining, and easy access to the city, it’s a convenient and inspiring base for concert nights and city adventures.

Why Concert-goers love it

Set in a quieter part of Boston, but still close to live music spots in Allston and Cambridge, Studio Allston Hotel offers the perfect balance between access and downtime. Guests appreciate the easy late-night rideshares to major venues and the peaceful vibe for winding down after the show. With a 4:00 PM check-in and 11:00 AM check-out, you’ll have plenty of time to settle in and sleep off a late night.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a stylish and spacious place to crash
  • Solo travelers catching a long-awaited show
  • Couples turning their concert night into a weekend getaway
  • Fans needing a quiet space to recharge post-show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want a unique and creative stay

Food and Drink Options

Studio Allston Hotel serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner on-site, so you won’t have to go far to fuel up. While there’s no 24/7 room service, there are plenty of local eateries within walking distance for late-night bites. Need a slow morning? Breakfast is available to help you recover after a night of dancing.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel doesn’t host live music itself, you’re just a short ride from Allston’s legendary music bars and Cambridge’s intimate clubs. Prefer to keep it chill? Return to the hotel’s art-filled common areas or explore local lounges offering craft cocktails and low-key vibes.

What People Say

Guests love the hotel's vibrant art and décor, calling it a refreshing change from cookie-cutter options. Reviews often mention the spacious rooms, friendly staff, and its convenient location for both city access and relaxation. The free Wi-Fi and proximity to jogging paths also get high marks from active travelers.

Areas for Improvement

The hotel doesn’t offer valet parking, and self-parking can be a bit limited during busy weekends. Also, while the location is peaceful, it’s not in the heart of downtown—so plan for a short ride to most concert venues.

The Bottom Line

If you're after a vibrant, creative hotel with easy access to Boston's music scene and a quiet spot to unwind afterward, Studio Allston Hotel hits the right notes.

Norlen L, Lempster, visiting Paradise Rock Club

I appreciate bargains. Although the cost was expensive it was the least expensive in the area due to the location. We were a bit nervous after reading the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. We have stayed in far worse. Although it wasn't glamorous it was clean, the beds were comfortable and it had a microwave and fridge. We even had a nice view of the river. It was about a mile walk to the subway and a short cab drive to the Paradise Rock Club. The area has nice restaurants.

Liked: Price lower than competition; great location.

Basic hotel in a good...

Liked: We liked the spacious lobby with lots of seating areas, the staff at the front desk were really nice and helpful. We asked for an extra blanket and they brought it up very quickly. They had some free wine and charcuterie snacks for guests, which is a nice touch. The free breakfast is very basic, with hard boiled eggs, small cereals, muffins, and bagels. The location is great as we were there for a concert in the Allston area. Parking was affordable at $10/night.
Disliked: I think this hotel is a refurbished low to mid tier chain hotel. The decor/paint is nice but doesn't cover up the very basic room. The bathroom is especially small with a drop ceiling. One of the beds had stained sheets, which they were able to change out for us. We paid over $400 for the room and I wouldn't pay more than $150 for a room of this quality.
