I appreciate bargains. Although the cost was expensive it was the least expensive in the area due to the location. We were a bit nervous after reading the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. We have stayed in far worse. Although it wasn't glamorous it was clean, the beds were comfortable and it had a microwave and fridge. We even had a nice view of the river. It was about a mile walk to the subway and a short cab drive to the Paradise Rock Club. The area has nice restaurants.

Disliked: You will hate the bathroom door though if you are staying with a friend cause it does not lock from the inside and everything is visible from the corners LOLBreakfast is not worth it.

Liked: Proximity to cambridge. Nice hotel staff
Disliked: Rooms are very far away in the south building. Needs lots of walking to get there. One of the Towels was spotted with red. Breakfast is okay but not as expected.

Mature hostel feels but with...

Liked: Located right off of Storrow drive, it's great if you need to drive anywhere in Boston, Cambridge and the surrounding suburbs. Nice views of the Charles, and easy access to the esplanade. I liked the decor and the public areas. Great for inviting guests over.
Disliked: Basic breakfast, far from public transport (if you need it), and the elevators were a bit rough - they even called the firefighters because someone got stuck in one when we were there. Honestly, not bad for Boston.
