Unhealthy, smoky environment — worst...

Disliked: I’ve traveled extensively for over 20 years and have never encountered a hotel as unpleasant and unhealthy as this one. The entire building reeked of cigarette smoke, including our room, which also had multiple cigarette burn holes on the bedspread. While the lobby sign clearly stated that all rooms are non-smoking with a $100 penalty for violations, people were smoking openly throughout the property.Our room smelled like a strong mix of cleaning chemicals layered over years of cigarette smoke. When we called the front desk to report the odor and burn damage, we were told to come to the lobby for a new room. Once there, we were informed that no non-smoking rooms were available. At that point, we returned the keys and checked out—left scrambling to find another hotel close to midnight.The property appeared to be operating as low-income extended stay housing, not a standard hotel. I’m genuinely shocked that Booking.com would continue to list this location. I’ve had great experiences with Booking.com in the past, but this raises serious concerns about their quality standards.Avoid this place at all costs.

Disliked: The amount of bugs: roaches, at least in the rooms I was in. This was reported to front desk on more than one occasion with no resolve only to have my PAID booking for 4 days cancelled for no legitimate reason and I was placed in a “do not rent list” preventing me from booking there for 30 days……the managers reason to do that to me was because “you complained.” Not EXCESSIVELY not rudely but twice and extremely calm.
