This is the worst hotel that I have stayed in. I drove four hours to Duluth to attend a concert. Therefore, I intended to stay in Duluth overnight. I checked into the hotel before the concert. As soon as I got on the third floor, I noticed an odor. It was not too bad. However, when I went to my room the odor was unbearable. It smelled as if the occupant before us did everything but die in the hotel room. I turned the air on to try to air out the smell. I left to go to the concert. When I got back from the concert and went back to the room, the odor was worse than it was before. At that point, I made the decision to not even stay at that hotel. I went downstairs, checked out, and drove four more hours back home after the event. The smell was so unbearable that I was not going to deal with it all night. This was the worst hotel room I've ever been in. I am very disappointed with the fact that the hotel does not take more pride in having cleaner living conditions for their guests. I am also disappointed that I wasted my time checking in to the hotel and $80 of my income on a hotel room that I did not even use. Worst hotel experience ever. There is nothing positive to say about my experience here. When someone pays for a reservation, they should not have to walk into an environment like the one that this hotel has.

I booked online for two rooms two months ago. Upon check in, I was only registered for one room according to the hotel staff (even though I had a confirmation email saying otherwise). I asked for another room anywhere in the hotel but was told they were completely booked; the next day, though, I was told that was false and we could have been given our second room. Original front desk employee was not helpful in sorting out my situation with me.
Disliked: Toilet had little to no water pressure; shower curtain didn't stay all the way closed; kitchen dishes were dirty; carpet not clean; trash underneath the beds; front desk attendant not helpful.
