Strawberry Bank Hotel NEC

Stayed for the Richie Blackmore concert at the Genting Arena. Very good hotel to stay at close to the arena. Clean; friendly and helpful.

Liked: Excellent breakfast the location was in beautiful countryside at the back of the property with beautifully kept beer garden.The staff were very pleasant and helpful..The eve meal was delicious and the lovely waitress went out of her way for my vegetarian friend ti see uf something else could be cooked for her as she had an achy tummy.Another option was offered thankyou.
Disliked: The chambernaids had not restocked the teabags nor had they left enough towels for 2 people.We found a bag of clementines in a drawer and a piece of paper in another ,so obviously drawers had not been cleaned.The t v control was missing and Kalami was very attentive and brought us more teabags,towels, and other t.v handsets. Whilst he was in the room I spotted the remote down beside the bed and bedside table. So your chambermaids need to just be mindful of what should be in the room for the next guests.Tge general cleanliness of the room was very good.

Liked: Good location for NEC
Disliked: Grubby, shabby and dirty. Emailed the manager to discuss my concerns, six weeks later I'm still waiting for a response. Called the hotel to speak with the manager, she said she would call me back and she did at 2am in the morning. Don't waste your money, there are better places locally, shame as the staff are nice enough and are fighting a losing battle.
