Stratton House Hotel

The perfect overnight stay in...

Liked: Warm welcoming property with picturesque views of the countryside. Room was spacious, yet cosy and well appointed. exactly as appeared in photos. Hotel facilities were perfect for our overnight stay as once we had checked in; we didn't need to leave the property again until check out time the next day.

Liked: The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were superb. Would definitely go back.

Liked: The breakfast was lovely and the staff were really helpful
Disliked: The Wi-Fi for the television was quite poor and so programmes kept stopping, buffering or stuttering.

Liked: Great location and fabulous gardens, very traditional with a good restaurant.
Disliked: Room was showing signs of age, it needed a deep clean and some repairs to furniture.

Disliked: The front desk staff were extremely rude and unprofessional during my stay. I felt disrespected and treated unfairly, and some of the comments made had racial undertones, which made me very uncomfortable. This behavior is completely unacceptable in any hospitality setting. I expected basic courtesy and professionalism, which were not provided.

Liked: Location was great short drive from most things in the Cotswolds. Lots of parking extremely friendly staff who were super helpful and our two year old was very entertained by the staff at dinner. The food was superb breakfast and dinner. The rooms were clean large, tidy with great facilities and the hotel is nice and quiet.
Disliked: Had one issue with the spa which had two very loud drunk people smoking in the spa area disruping the peace. But the staff apologised for there behaviour. And we're kind enough not to charge us for it. But all in all having traveled 90% of the UK this has to be one of my favourite places and hotels.
