Strandhotel Klitrosen

It's not bad, but...

Liked: The location was great, the big panoramic windows were a nice touch, beds were comfy.
Disliked: It's a somewhat old place, which is proved by a lot of old systems, poor sound insulation, decentralized locks (standard keys), poor availability of power outlets, the darkening curtains didn't manage to keep out the light at all, no direct facilities, apart from the honor bar which sadly didn't include basics like tea and coffee, the breakfast was alright but nothing special.

Liked: Breakfast is small but very good and the staff is nice.
Disliked: The rooms are very worn and not clean.

Pleasant

Liked: The sitting room, with books and games
Disliked: We had to store our bicycles outside our room more or less in the carpark on full view.Also, if we didn't want people peering into our room as they walked past, we had to have the window blinds down.

Good stay at great location

Liked: Nice and simple hotel, private entrances and good breakfast. Great location in sweet village right at the beach.

Great location, good place to rest

Liked: As the name implies, the Strandhotel Klitrosen is wonderfully close to the beach. We reached it late in the day after taking the ferry from Norway, and the hotel staff very kindly arranged for us to get into our room after hours. It lies on a quiet street, and our garden-facing room was very peaceful. There was some light coming past the blinds, but we nonetheless had a great night's sleep. Our room was clean and spacious, and the beds were comfortable.
Disliked: There was an odd smell in our room, like it had not been aired out in a long time. It looks and feels old; the exception was the bathroom, which appeared newly renovated. There was no coffeemaker or tea kettle, even though there is a small space that looks like a kitchenette. We arrived quite late to breakfast, which may explain why it was rather sparse, with few options.
