This award-winning family-run B&B is set opposite Lake Windermere in a 19th-century property which was the former gatehouse to Storrs Hall. The restored Storrs Gate House offers sumptuous bedrooms with free Wi-Fi hearty breakfasts and free ample parking. Local and home-made produce are a feature of our traditional and varied English Breakfast menu. Free-range eggs from Bannerigg Farm in Windermere hand-made large Cumberland sausage and AA grade bacon are supplied by the award winning local butchers Plumgarths. Our lovely Vegetarian Vegan and gluten free options are also catered for with pleasure. Enjoy our home-made produce which include jam marmalade yogurt and home-baked fruit muffins. The bedrooms are decorated with rich fabrics and colors. All rooms have a mini-bar and a hairdryer and bathrooms feature power showers and The White Company toiletries. Storrs Gate is less than a mile from Bowness-on-Windermere with a stunning lake close by. There is a lot to do in the Lake District including fishing walking and cycling. Far Sawrey - Bowness on Windermere ferry Nab is a 5-minutes walk away where guests can explore the western side of Windermere and Wray Castle is 3-miles away.
