Liked: Excellent location with spectacular mountain views. Spacious and very comfortable accommodation in an imposing, unique building. Friendly staff, unpretentious and always happy to help. Food of a high standard, especially the lunch after my daughter’s wedding.
Disliked: We enjoyed it all.

Liked: Stunning scenery, great views from the room, large spacious rooms and comfy bed. Degustation dinner with matched wines was very good
Disliked: Brekkie needs to be improved on, first day my omette was cold, second day had the banana bread, seriously I’m not sure where the chef got that recipe but it was awful. Gave my wife a bite and she said it was inedible. Would be great to have a golf cart to take you to and from your room for meals, that hill is seriously steep to walk

Beautiful venue, staff experience let's...

Liked: The venue is beautiful, so many elements that have been carefully designed and curated by the owner. The rooms are luxurious and very well appointed. The living area was very enjoyable. The view is spectacular.
Disliked: By far, the staff and service really let this venue down and take away from it being a premium location. We were so disappointed by the rude and lazy service from the staff that we encountered. I was told by the host FOUR times that I looked tired. Perhaps I was there for a rest! The host also told us upon arrival that the venue is "VERY EXCLUSIVE".... we know, that's one of the reasons we booked it. What a strange thing to say to guests. The breakfast was extremely poor, I wished we had eaten elsewhere. The service from the staff during breakfast was also slow and very indifferent. One meal inedible, the other unenjoyable, coffee luke warm. Staff not interested to see if meal was ok, clean up plates etc. The pool is not heated - we were only able to swim for a short while (beginning of March). Would be ok in the warmer months.We did want to eat dinner at the venue but missed the note in the very long instruction email that we needed to book this well in advance of our stay, and the hotel restaurant was booked out upon arrival. The host appeared to take some joy in informing us that it was fully booked.

Liked: The accommodation was brilliant. Great bed, comfortable surrounds. Beautiful grounds to walk around with so many flowers out in bloom. Simply stunning! And breakfast was exceptional.

The most perfect place to...

Liked: The views from our retreat were speculator. We stayed the night of our wedding and had an amazing time. The facilities were absolutely beautiful and we very much enjoyed the breakfast. Jono was so lovely and always so helpful. Thank you for having us.

Liked: Our stay at Stoneridge was little short of ideal! The grounds were simply stunning - you take a steep drive up to the resort, passing by vineyards and rose bushes. The buildings have a historic stone and wrought-iron look and truly feel like they have been there for centuries. Walk around the grounds and you might also see the very cute, peaceful chapel. The rooms were, again, stunning, with beautiful views over Lake Hayes. They were spacious and thoughtfully furnished, including the bathrooms which had his and hers sinks. On checking in, we were greeted by their very friendly staff who offered us two glasses of rose and a lovely cheese board. In short, we loved it here - it felt like pure luxury!
Disliked: The breakfast (included) was a bit less than we had imagined for the price, but fine and the locale was beautiful and the staff were very friendly.The A/C in our room was weak, so the room ran hot throughout the day and even at night
