Beautiful country house hotel

Liked: I loved the history of the building and my beautiful room with stunning views over the garden and beyond. Parking was easy, staff were friendly and breakfast was good. A perfect location for walking and enjoying a relaxing break in the countryside. The hotel has worked hard to be more sustainable and to encourage wildlife, making it a good spot to watch the many birds who have also made it their home.

Lovely setting, comfortable and excellent...

Liked: Good breakfast . Staff extremely helpful even when the hotel was busy with a wedding. All were pleasant.
Disliked: Unfortunately because of the lovel old building there are no lifts and many short flights of stairs. Important to say about mobility issues when booking. They did their best to allocate rooms with least stairs and walking . We made a booking for a friend without stating disabilities and the several flights of stairs were a real issue but all luggage was taken to and from rooms.

Lovely stay in a special...

Liked: Lovely architectural property very special. It was spotless and the staff were very professional and helpful. We got great weather so the patio at the back of the hotel provided a great place for a drink and fantastic views. Beds were comfortable, shower great and breakfast was good. I thought it was excellent value for the quality of the property and staff.
