We decided not to stay...

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Everything a lot of work going on inside hotel and outside It was 27degrees and no bottled water available as waiting on delivery and no coffee facilities as waiting on new machine Outside work with a cherry picker made it very unpleasant to be able to sit outside with the noise and smoke No swimming available as we were not aware it was closed for renovation

Comfortable and peaceful stay.

Liked: Welcoming staff. Comfortable bed. Very hot water. Well cooked breakfast.Calm atmosphere
Disliked: Surroundings were a bit drab a comfortable stay.

Stay away ! Not worth...

Liked: Poor stay not worth the money
Disliked: No spa and nothing organised with another local hotel

Exceptional

Liked: The hotel was in a great location and beds were very comfortable, rooms very clean and spacious.
Disliked: I was not keen on the rooms not having any drawers to put clothes in.

Large scale building work in...

Liked: Good location for access to major roads and also Kendal town centre. Quality cooked breakfast. Staff pleasant & helpfulRoom & bed comfortable.
Disliked: Unfortunately, there is full on building works. A large extension & internal works for a year! finishing this Sept. However, we were not advised of this when booking. Noise & dust from builders, very limited parking due to building equipment & materials. Pool etc not available because of building works. This is the reason for a low score.We have happily stayed here several time previously over the years so were very disappointed not to be told of the building work which did affect our stay & still paying "good money" for this inconvenience.

The staff were exceptional.

Disliked: Car park a little small.
