Definitely worth a stay!

Liked: Loved the period feel of the hotel, location, grounds and staff etc.
Disliked: My only disappointment was a service phone going off throughout the night (in the next room, which I believe was an unattended staff room). Intermittent alarm bell resulted in a restless night. Not the best when you've an early start and a long day ahead of you! But couldn't fault the hotel and it's service.

Complaint

Liked: The location, staff, and grounds were lovely. And food was good too.
Disliked: Mould up bottom and corners of the walls and in cupboards of the entire room. The floor was so filthy and stained with dry paint over it that we had to wear shoes constantly due to black feet!!! There was no plug socket by TV on the wall, so I was unable to use USB. Also, the signal on theTV was shocking and hard to watch. But weather was not an issue. And then the Volume on TV was set not to go above 5 it was a whisper, so we could BEARLY hear any sound when it did show a picture. Also, the shower was cold / luke warm and was on for a good 10 mins before stepping in, and nothing changed even when moving hot and cold dial. Finally, the c. I have stayed here multiple times and have had no complaints, but this time round, I'm appalled that i actually paid over £100 and was given such conditions to stay in it was shocking.

Pleasant stay for what we...

Liked: Breakfast was very good, choice of full English and/or Continental. Staff were very helpful.
Disliked: Rooms could do with an update, a couple of minor faults in the room.

Liked: Late arrival but staff were very considerate and my usual very welcome

Love the location, friendly staff....

Liked: The meat was well cooked and the menu had a good choice.
Disliked: Breakfast was slow to arrive. Staff apologised. Scrambled eggs unappealing.

Pleasent stay as was attending...

Liked: One room on booking in main building! Very good.
Disliked: 2 garden rooms too far from main building and very small and not up to standard
