Would have preferred to stay...

Liked: The waterfall and garden at the back of the property. The breakfast was pretty good. Hamish the dog.
Disliked: The cottage decor was tired and the bedroom was really small for a standard double room and not that clean. Towels were not changed in 4 days. We paid £87 to upgrade to a garden view and all we got was a noisy busy road. The lady owner never once came out to greet us or say hello. And when we left and wanted to pay. They would not take the price off for the garden view I’d upgraded to and didn’t get. The lady owner finally decided to speak to us, unfortunately just to be smarmy and treat us like scum. It’s despicable that a host would speak to any guest the way she did. As we were leaving she muttered that scousers were all the same and didn’t like to pay. Even though I’d messaged them the week before to pay in advance and I offered to pay on arrival before we’d even seen the room. I’m honest as the day is long. I definitely would not recommend.
