A very smart hotel in a cracking setting in centre of Stirling; staff were very nice, so was breakfast. Would go back without a second thought.
Liked: The building itself and public areas were great.
Disliked: The bedroom we stayed in was a bit tired with worn carpet and broken door inside bathroom.

Disliked: Too many steps and stairs, and had booked twin room but was given a double bed

Liked: Lovely big room. Breakfast was excellent..absolutely everything you could ask for.
Disliked: Lifts weren't working ..not a huge problem as we were only one floor up.

Liked: We were really happy with everything about the hotel. They had even read my room request and accommodated it. Lovely blackout curtains meant a nice long sleep. Great shower.
Disliked: Couldn't fault it!

Good hotel with character
Liked: Its a very well placed hotel with character in what used to be the old school. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. And in the morning they proposed a very hearty breakfast (with optional haggis) to set you up for the day.
Disliked: The bed in the room could have been more comfortable. Our bed had a dip in the middle that made it uncomfortable during the night.

Central hotel that could do...
Liked: Location very good as close to Castle and old area of City. Beds comfortable. Plenty of free parking.
Disliked: Hotel looking a little worn and dated. Our room adjoined to next room and occupants were noisy. Breakfast while sufficient didn't wow and staff not very well organised ( no bread for toasting) The hotel has a large patio area with tables and chairs unfortunately you had to trip up to the 3rd floor bar to get a drink - while staff stood around - they should have been coming down take and taking orders - lost business
