Good thing we only stayed...

Liked: Hotel & room are stylish! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Toiletries are great!
Disliked: The most uncomfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept on! There wasn’t a mattress pad or anything, just bedding & a spring mattress on a flat bed frame. The pillows were soft but flattened when you lie on it; even stacking two wasn’t very comfy. The carpet in the hotel room was frayed and visibly dirty… good thing I brought my own slippers. It’s too bad there isn’t onsite parking.

Good value for money.

Liked: Good location, cafe downstairs was great.
Disliked: When room was cleaned we were left without any towels or linens. Staff at front desk weren’t too fussed when I went downstairs to get more.

Superb

Great value for the location,...

Liked: I stay here a lot, it's great value for the location and nice to have the (former Ace) rooftop pool.
Disliked: Got stuck in a room on the other side of the building, where the toilet was making a strange noise, I could hear the elevator constantly and also a giant duct of some kind outside the window. DTLA is regularly noisy but this was extra. I messaged them and they just said they'd take note of the toilet for the next guest. As a returning person it'd have been nice to have the offer to switch rooms...I either need to know how to avoid this in the future or will just avoid the hotel sadly.

Superb stay experience in LA...

Liked: The hotel is refurnished on an old office so it looks unfinished inside. However, the room is very clean and bathroom is spotless. You are also given some Korean facial masks too for free! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Check in/out process is super easy. Location is superb in the downtown.
Disliked: n/a

A comfortable albeit quirky hotel...

Liked: A comfortable albeit quirky hotel near the heart of LA. The area the hotel is in has seen better days. That said, there’s a few nice cafes nearby and you’re only a 10min walk from the Pershing subway stop. The in-house laundry was super convenient.
Disliked: Location wasn’t quite what we expected

Safety, hygiene and lighting issues...

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: The rooms/elevators were dingy, there were no tissues or napkins, the ceilings and washroom were under construction. There was not enough lighting in the room for one to pack bags or unpack bags or do anything else. I understand they want to have a quaint vibe but they must provide enough lighting and should leave at customers disposal whether to use all the lighting or not. Bathroom and toilet were well lit.I would never recommend this to anyone unless you are a school student due to budget constraints. Stay as far as possible and also the neighbourhood was very very sketchy and the street plus inside of hotel was stinking all the time. They did use air fresheners from time to time but it was of very little help.

Disliked: Quite slow service; they don’t make up the room during the day; carpet was stained and looked dirty; service in coffee bar on g/f so slow
