Not bad would stay again

Liked: OK, nothing special
Disliked: Bigger choice of cereals.Evening meals Indian only so went elsewhere

My stay was made enjoyable...

Liked: Receptionist was polite well mannered and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, Breakfast was perfect staff very helpful and polite. Had an evening meal which was Excellent all supplied served by helpful friendly staff
Disliked: Some areas of the hotel could use a little updating and a refresh, and a bit of modern landscaping to the front gardens and parking area.

Disappointing, overpriced, terrible shower, smelly,...

Liked: The receptionist was polite and welcoming.
Disliked: This bedroom are not "modern" or "charming" and are not "decorated and furnished to a high standard". The shower was old, falling apart and not fully working. The bed linen was worn away. The flat-screen LCD TV was ancient and needed replacing. My room smelt.The breakfast options were limited and not to a good standard.

Superb

Liked: Excellent large room overlooking the trees out front. Welcoming staff who helped carry out bags up the stairs, noticing my injured hand. Pleasant lady in the spacious breakfast room, who was efficient and helpful. Handy position just off the busy A34, great for a stopover.
Disliked: I have no dislikes to report.

Liked: Hotel was warm and friendly, room was lovely, food was excellent and the staff were brilliant, cannot really fault it

Liked: Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The overall hotel was lovely and in a beautiful location, I would definitely stay here again. I had a great stay.

Liked: Alexandra was amazing! Such a lovely bubbly warm welcome - she made the experience!Breakfast was amazing! The hotel decor is gorgeous. Everything is neat and tidy and clean. I would have like to have tried the restaurant as it looks lovely.
Disliked: The bedroom is very pretty and I feel lucky to have had one of the big special rooms. I observed however that although the linen was fresh and comfi, the pillows, duvet and mattress are past their best and unfortunately that combination gave me a disturbed and uncomfortable nights sleep. I would have appreciated a waffle robe and toiletries for a room at this price of this nature advertising 'luxury'. I had assumed and hadnt brought these items and it may not have been this way but it felt like the soaps left by the shower were left behind by mistake by a previous guest. They didnt look intentional.

The WORST place I have...

Liked: The whole experience was a complete disaster and I will be applying to booki g.com for a full refund when I get home.e
Disliked: The reception was not staffed. Waited q5mi minutes then had to phone to get someone. Offered a totally unacceptable room. Given another but after we unpacked were told we would have to move. There was not a manager or senior staff member on site. Told it was fully booked when mine was the only car in the car park. Had to ask for the heating to be put on at 7pm as the room was so cold. Reception deserted again when we left and there were clothes drying on the radiators in reception. The girl told us that only she and the chef were the available staff. I asked what would happen in an emergency and she had no answer. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in and would NEVER stay there again

Impressed by really helpful and...

Liked: All good, lovely room, clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Small thing, It was a little cold, the radiator was not working. There were extra blankets available which kept me warm and comfortable.
