Peaceful, comfortable no-BS cabin that...

Liked: We had an enjoyable stay for a ski trip to Smuggler's Notch. This is not a luxury resort, but it is definitely in the sweet spot for comfort, cleanliness and location. The cabin was comfortable with a wood stove and well-equipped kitchen. We were in a one bedroom which included a full size fold-out sofa bed. It was definitely feasible for a short stay with two adults and two kids. I do not know if they had availability for the two bedroom on our dates, but that might be worth considering if you have more people in your group. The resort staff were friendly and responsive when needed, but left us in peace the rest of the time, which is how I like it. The resort has extra towels and other essentials available at the front office as well as snacks, extra firewood and other items for purchase. The resort is located in a quiet area between the town of Jeffersonville and the Smuggler's Notch ski resort. It's a little tricky to navigate at night, but Waze got us there after a couple of missed turns. It was a short drive to the ski area in the morning and a short drive down 108 to Jeffersonville for food and other supplies. The location was peaceful and ideal for families. The resort has hikes set up and provides snowshoes for rent, but we didn't have time to explore this.
Disliked: The only possible downside to note is that there are no dining options on site or within walking distance. You will need a car to get to the resort and to get around. You will also probably want to cook some of your dinners, which possible thanks to the kitchen in your cabin. Booking.com has an issue where scammers are able to spoof messages from the resort using the booking.com messaging system asking users to re-input credit card details in a suspicious website. Unfortunately, I did receive a few of these messages prior to my stay, but it was fairly easy to identify the scam. This is a known issue with booking.com (not just this property, search reddit for numerous examples). Please be aware of this and ignore messages asking for credit card details if you receive them. This is not a particularly well executed scam, but I can see how someone could fall for it given that messages are delivered through a booking.com channel.

The whole experience was excellent...

Liked: The cabin was beautiful, extremely comfortable for my family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenagers ages 15,16,17), and had a fully equipped kitchen. The staff was extremely amenable and friendly. The location was excellent, near Smugglers Notch for skiing.

Perfect getaway for families, couples,...

Liked: What a hidden gem, it got great reviews, but we were still very pleasantly surprised at what a wonderful, relaxing resort it was. Met our needs of being near to Stowe, Burligton, hwy, yet remote enough so that we enjoyed the solitude, peace and quiet of VT and just being together. Wonderful, clean cabin, everything was mint so perhaps it had just been renovated, or they are all just that nice. Lots of nice hiking trails, pond to boat on, pool (too chilly this time of year), game room, DVD movies, plenty to do.
Disliked: My only suggestions are that they turn the boats over so they aren't soaking wet from dew and rain, and upgrade them a bit, sort of a scrappy lot. Also hated the toiletries provided, so suggest they switch to dispensers in shower with stuff that actually smelled like soap. Otherwise absolute perfection!
