Despite the football result, we had an excellent couple of days in Germany.

Liked: Very comfortable bed. slept well. good breakfast. good afternoon tea before the match with a glass of sekt. excellent location for the football stadium a 10-15 min walk away we lost 2-0 after the match both sides' supporters stopped off for a few beers. good atmosphere, no problems. We last stayed in a Steigenberger hotel in 2006 in Stuttgart opposite the station.
Disliked: our train was cancelled. we had to get a train to Dortmund from Dusseldorf. we arrived about 10.30pm there had been no at seat food on red train from brussels, so we were starving. there was no food available after 10 pm instead we had a few beers in the bar which was open till 1am.
