Me and my girlfriend spent one night and were very pleased with our brief stay. Would definitely recommend the hotel to others, and if we found ourselves needing a place to stay in the Boston area would definitely stay at the Chandler Inn again.

Liked: Everything besides room temperature.
Disliked: Room was too hot - couldn't figure out how to turn the heat down.

Liked: Conveniently located; nicely decorated; cool bar downstairs.
Disliked: Bed was extremely uncomfortable.

Liked: Very good location for getting around the city and close to a train station.Comfortable room, but the bathroom was relatively small.
Disliked: The room had no soundproofing at all, and there was a lot of noise both from the street outside and from internal sources, such as the heating system. Earplugs were essential for us to be able to sleep at night!Housekeeping was done every other day, not daily.

Liked: The location was good but everything else was a little tired
Disliked: The amenity charge, you basically get this added for absolutely no reason. The room was tired as was the bathroom and the hotel felt a little shabby

Good back bay location but...

Liked: The location and the restaurant.
Disliked: Room was much smaller than the photos show… no desk..no chair to sit on.

Liked: Restaurant and bar were wonderful--great to have them part of the facility. Coffee in the room was much appreciated. Good quality TV, though choices were a bit limited. Staff was very friendly.
Disliked: Bathroom sink is too small. No good place in bathroom for toiletries--shelf too small. Pillows not ideal. Would have liked some kind of fitness facility. The extra fee is too high given what it covers.

Liked: Very convenient and central.
Disliked: The rooms had poor temp regulation and it was extremely hot and the a/c was not good. Overall very cute and fun place/lacking basic amenities like an iron in the room. Most egregiously, the amenity fee is nonsense. It doesn’t factor into your initial price upfront and you’re forced to pay a fee for water, coffee, one beverage and wifi. Just factor an additional $25 to the price quoted here

A welcome return and some...

Liked: We were able to check in a little early, which helped us open up our afternoon a bit. We were warmly greeted and welcomed like the long- lost returnees that we were- it has been a few years since we had stayed here. The bar food and experience had improved since the last time, which made it an appealing option to consider for an early dinner. We were able to settle in and begin a long-awaited vacation.
Disliked: We felt much more at home this time. The rooms are fairly small but this time we made it work for us. The added "resort fees" and the room cleaning fees are annoying, in light of the fact that this is not a "resort", nor is room cleaning performed until after a second night's stay. We did not feel compelled to leave a gratuity, which is unusual for us. Otherwise, this was a good visit and an improvement over previous stays.
