Great location and staff
Liked: The staff were amazing and so nice. For the front desk to housekeepers to breakfast staff...all were polite and helpful.
Disliked: The mattress wasn't was comfortable as I hoped and the pillows too soft and insufficient.

Disliked: Would have liked to see happy hour option since it was a football weekend

Liked: Nothing at all
Disliked: Room was very dirty upon check in. Hair in the tub, finger prints and hand marks on the desk, cobwebs and dirt around the dresser, loose paint chips all over bathroom area. Front desk employees were nice but not very accommodating.

Liked: The location is great. The bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: The tv in the living area did not work. The instructions were to press the input button on the back of the tv, which did not exist on that tv, but did exist on the bedroom tv. We should never have to do anything, but turn it on with the remote. The breakfast is horrible. The choices were almost nonexistent, and we were told that we had to make our own coffee in the room. We stayed in several hotels the week before, and they all did a much better job with breakfast, even with the COVID-19 restrictions, and they all provided coffee.

Liked: Across the street from Texas Tech
Disliked: The rooms are getting dated and showing wear. The mattress was sunken and soft with age. I will focus on the bathroom. The bathroom needs a complete renovation. The toilet seat was yellowed and beyond acceptable age of service. A broken, dingy light in the bathroom should not get ignored for the next guest. Lighting is terrible in the bathroom. Shower tubs are very dated and dangerous. They need to rip out all of the tubs and install walk-in showers stalls. Bathroom vanity, tile, grout, all is dated, dirty and showing extreme wear. The COVID situation is giving hotels the license to be lazy with regard to trash pick up from rooms, and no maid service at all on the weekend? Couldn't you at least offer towel replacement instead of having to walk to the desk and ask? Overall, this property needs renovation. The TTU football crowds and TTU visitors have given this place enough income over the years. There's no excuse for the lack of maintenance and the old bathroom fixtures, other than they get away with it because people generally visit once and don't return to Lubbock. I would not book this property. Look for one much newer, especially if you're paying $100+++ per night in Lubbock on a non-football weekend!
