Not bad but not good

Liked: Cheapest hotel available with private bathrooms. Staff was very nice.
Disliked: No water bottle but tea available. Only one towel in a double bedroom for 2 days and 2 people. Mattress was falling apart. Wall was cracking.

Good Location

Liked: Location was pretty close to the airport. Very good local restaurant across the street. Also grocery store across the street.
Disliked: I found it pretty pricey for what we got.

Disliked: Upon check-in, we received room 232. To our surprise (and horror), this room featured a charming design element: mould — right next to the bed! Very modern… if you’re decorating for a haunted house. Also missing: the baby cot we were promised, and apparently also the cleaning staff, because the room looked and smelled not the cleanest.I marched down to reception, pointed out the mould mural we didn’t ask for, and to their credit, we were given a new room — 230 — which was mould-free! A true luxury in this hotel. Five stars for that alone.Now, just as we were settling in for a night of sweet dreams at around 2:00 AM, the door next to us started slamming open and shut like we were in a horror movie montage. This happened no fewer than ten times, which I assume was part of the hotel’s interactive sleep deprivation experience. Our baby woke up (surprise!) and I went out into the hallway, bleary-eyed, only to find a woman arguing passionately with the hotel manager in Portuguese. Was she also experiencing mould-induced disappointment? Who knows — maybe they offer a secret “Mould & Misery” package we accidentally signed up for.I politely asked them to stop the door slamming, since the whole building apparently shares one nervous system.For 100€ a night, rather grab a cute place in town because with a Bolt you can get there pretty quickly.
