Stay 2Night Chattanooga Hamilton Place

We planned a sister weekend on September 30th thru October 2, 2011 in Chattanooga. We book our hotel through concerthotels.com so we thought it would be good. We got there and the hotel was nasty. The clerk was very rude when we wanted to cancel because of the room. It stunk, and was very dirty. Dust all over lampshade. The clerk would not refund our money back on card. Or give our $18.00 back he said we had to pay extra.( I think he pocketed that) All we did was walked up to room and went back down and told him it was dirty and he said we were there for hours. HE PLAIN OUT LIED! We just stood there shock that he would lie straight to our face! I have never been treated so badly. So, we lost our money and had to go to another hotel because of how we were treated plus, the nasty room! I urge anyone to never stay at this hotel! When you have to lie to a customer to keep from refunding money. That is BAD BUSINESS!!! I am 46 and have stay at alot of hotels and never have incounter such rudeness and bad behavior by a clerk!!! He should be fire or get a attitude adjustment!! I truly think it was because we were women and he thought he would run over us!! He would not give us any paperwork or anything. He said that belonged to the hotel. When we called choicehotels to report it, they said they were sorry but he told them that we were in the room for hours. God knows the truth! So, I guess that is what he tells them to keep from losing money! We did go to the Comfort Inn. Very clean and nice!!

Liked: It was close to highway. The woman at the desk was superb and was very kind to us. Bed linen very clean.
Disliked: It is older and had a smoke smell in hallways and the light from outside was bright even though it had black out curtains

Liked: Completely updated. Small. Friendly staff. Incredible value for the money. Excellent furnishings also including foam mattresses.
