Extremely accommodating staff

Liked: Extremely accommodating. Initially wanted to check in an hour earlier and they very politely obliged. However, we had to call and say that we would no longer be checking in early as we stopped to do more sightseeing than expected. We were told that we can arrive whenever we wanted as our room was ready for us. On the morning we departed, they made us each a breakfast bap to take with us on the road as we were not able to stay for breakfast.
Disliked: The wi-fi was not working, but it may have been affected by the storm. My husband is very tall and complained that the bed was a bit too small for him, but it was perfect for me and I slept like a baby.

A gem of a hotel...

Liked: We had a wonderful stay at The Station Hotel, while visiting friends in the neighbouring village.The hotel is spotless and Dorothy clearly takes great pride in running it, working tirelessly to ensure everything is just right. She even went out of her way to arrange a vegetarian option, for one of our group. After check-out, we realised we had left an item behind, Dorothy promptly liaised with the housekeeping team, located it and set it aside for us to collect, going the extra mile, which truly makes this hotel a special find.Our room was tastefully decorated, with a lovely shower in the bathroom. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, giving us a great night’s sleep. Tea-making facilities were also provided, what more could you ask for. The location is ideal: just a short stroll into Ellon town centre and only a few minutes walk from the nearest bus stop.If we’re back in the area visiting friends, we wouldn’t hesitate to book The Station Hotel in Ellon again.
