Comfortable hotel in excellent location
Liked: The hotel is very close to the Residenz and the river and is surrounded by good places to eat. The building was pointed out by the tour guide as a fine example of socialist architecture!My single room was in fact a small double, very comfortable and quiet withe windows closed. The staff at reception were helpful and spoke excellent English.
Disliked: Was unable to use my free drink voucher as the ground floor Cafe was not open when I passed.

Liked: Great location, nice staff, very nice room. Really enjoyed the stay.
Disliked: The bed is a bit uncomfortable. Also due to the location, you can hear the church bells in the evening/early morning.

Excellent value and great location!
Liked: We've stayed here a number of times now because this hotel is so amazing. Aside from the fact that the location is phenomenal, there is no extra fee for bringing a dog!! They also validate your ticket for the public parking lot, so it's 20 Euros for 24 hours. This isn't cheap, per se, but it's cheaper than the alternative(s) and it's extremely easy to access, which makes the hotel extra convenient. They also give you a voucher for the (very dog friendly) cafe downstairs if you don't need housekeeping services during your stay. Since we were only here for two nights this time, this worked out great for us and we had a some lovey cakes with our beverages before leaving. Finally the rooms are enormous (although I think they are bigger when facing the main square. This time our room was large, but not as insanely large as before. But since we were not facing the main square, this made it quieter, so maybe this is preferable for some!)

A comfortable hotel in the...
Liked: Excellent location right on the Alt Markt in central Dresden. The room was comfortable and well appointed as were the public areas of the hotel.
Disliked: Nothing to complain about.

Liked: Excellent location, easy walk to all main attractions. Wonderful breakfast. Helpful staff.
