Great value and I would...

Liked: The Location was perfect for us as we were pottering up the western Lake District. Lovely garden out the back leading down to the river. Very welcoming for the dog. Plenty of parking.
Disliked: Our room was right on the road and it was a bit noisy until about 2300. After that, no problem.

Liked: It was close to the start of Scafell Pike. We could get a room with Twin beds. Parking was easy. We could have dinner when we arrived.
Disliked: Shower was not working well: thin flow of water and couldn't change the temperature, it was stuck at very warm (38 degrees which may be considered ideal in winter but sometimes one prefers colder water). The blinds in the bedroom were broken. The kitchen closes at 8pm so one needs to order before and it doesn't officially open before 9am though we could have a cold breakfast at 8.30am.

Liked: The place was spot on. The staff were lovely and treated us like family.

Rewarding & a very relaxing...

Liked: The staff went above & beyond & out there way to help us. The foodings was outstanding. The garden was brilliant for the dogs. It was also very dog friendly. The food was a bit overpriced, but the landlord & landlady were great people. Hopefully we will return again soon
