Liked: Lovely place in good position for travelling. Quiet
Disliked: Did not inform us earlier that there is no dinner. Had to travel to nearby town for dinner. We have a dog and not allowed in many restaurants. No takeaway delivery to this place

Liked: Room was comfortable on 2nd floor with good views over the water to the stones. Clean room and large bathroom. Breakfast freshly cooked
Disliked: We booked as the hotel offered a bar and restaurant. No evening meals were available and the hotel is a drive away from Stromness. The bar was only open briefly on our first night. The hotel looks tired from the outside but our room was newly refurbished to a good standard. The bathroom extractor didn't work and the shower was very hot - it didn't seem possible to regulate the water temperature.

Liked: Nice location, lovely property, rooms smallish but comfy.
Disliked: Restaurant was a bit .. weird. Food was good, staff pleasant but it was kind of lacking ambience in a way? Few tables in an emptyish space, dim lighting, I don't know just a bit off-putting but meal was delicious so all good in the end.

Disliked: WE couldnt understand why we were put in such a small room considering that there were only 2 other couples staying there. It is a a large hotel and surely they had better rooms. Maybe the staff need more training.

Perfect, just perfect for what...

Liked: The property was amazing! We stayed there with our family for our wedding and we couldn’t be more pleased. The manager & staff were very helpful and always made sure we had everything we needed. The manager made up our suite so beautifully with fresh flowers, champagne, chocolates and fruit! Great intimate function room, perfect location with beautiful views and lovely food served!
Disliked: Nothing! We were happy with everything.
