Great country hotel

Liked: Loved the character of the hotel, the rooms were spacious, well equipped & comfortable
Disliked: Food and drinks were very overpriced and service was a little slow

Awesome Room and location

Liked: The room was fantastic and the staff were all very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: Afternoon tea selection wasn't the greatest and a tad pricey.

Exceptional

Liked: Fantastic hotel, beautiful building, grounds and exceptionally friendly staff. The included breakfast was incredible.The games room in the basement made our evening, pool tables, table football and board games room were a great addition to the hotel.Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious with a great shower.
Disliked: It was a truly special hotel and I would highly recommend visiting. We did find the drinks and food prices overly expensive - large glass of wine was £15 which for a standard bottle was a bit expensive. Main restaurant meals were expensive as well, comparable with Michelin star restaurants where we live. However, the setting, staff and the food we did have (the breakfast) were exceptional.

Excellent break with our dog

Liked: We were upgraded at no additional cost. The staff couldn't do enough for us and our dog. Fantastic grounds, excellent food, great location in a small village, plenty of parking and history. We will be going back in the better weather!
Disliked: Nothing, everything was what we expected and given.

Disliked: The BP pulse EV charger was more than double the cost of the Supercharger.It also runs past your balance that you pre load into a minus balance so approximately £44 for a £20 charge on a supercharger.Do not use it

Liked: There was some issue with the heating in our room and it was eventually solved very professionally!
Disliked: Put some flowers, etc. on the tables in the bar and lower the light to make it a little more cosy
