Unexpected grandeur

Liked: Gorgeous former convent, sensitively modernised. The retained ecclesiastical features make the buildings quite spectacular. Room temperature ideal. Staff attentive. Extra points for the Jacob's sheep with two lambs in the orchard.
Disliked: Dinner was excellent, but there was only one vegetarian starter and one vegetarian main course: a curry, which I would not have liked. Fortunately, we didn't want starters, so I was able to adapt the starter as a main, but I do think we should get at least two options. Why not offer a halloumi burger and a bean burger in the grill section? Everything else was first class.

Liked: Excellent hotel. Once we drove down the drive, we knew we were in somewhere special. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff were accomodating, lovely and geniunly interested in ensuring that our stay was perfect. Would strongly recommend this hotel to everyone.
Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: Robes in the room for coming out of shower or bath.
Disliked: No Gordon's pink gin.

Liked: Very interesting building, especially climbing the bell tower. The staff were particularly pleasant and helpful. Also very much enjoyed the breakfast arrangements, IE not buffet.Yes

3 day break

Liked: All the staff were very happy and helpful, wonderful lady who cleaned the bedroom and was working our last day was excellent and very cheerful and helpful,. Couldn't fault the staff.as they promptly sorted a couple of hiccups.
Disliked: Ran out of decaf tea bags which I thought strange for a large hotel.
