Passable

Disliked: I had requested to stay in the same room across both bookings, as I personally paid for the first night and my workplace covered the rest. Unfortunately, this request was declined, so I had to get up at 5am to pack and check out. After a long day, I returned late in the evening to check in again—only to be assigned the exact same room.I was extremely frustrated. I’m currently working 14-hour days, so rest is crucial, and I had already adjusted my morning to allow time to check out. While I understand this may not seem significant from your side, it was an unnecessary inconvenience and quite unreasonable.

Liked: Our room was very comfortable and the staff were always pleasant and helpful. Excellent location in the city with lots of dining options close by. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay and great value

Liked: The room was excellent, and very spacious. The buffet breakfast was absolutely wonderful with plenty of hot food to go around. One of the nicest breakfasts I've been to.
Disliked: Only downside was the bathroom. Slightly cramped, and the bathtub was stained/dirty. Not a massive issue though, but a striking detail when compared to the rest of the room.

Good for the price I...

Liked: The location was great, the room was comfortable. The breakfast was delish - I enjoyed the ginger chicken congee the most. The meat was halal (except bacon of course) and the head waiter was able to give me lactose free milk when requested :) the staff was so friendly in the restaurant, it felt nice to be welcomed so warmly every morning. When I entered the room there was a delicious dessert waiting for me as the staff knew I had this trip booked for a birthday get away - such a nice little surprise. I'm sad I left the card at the hotel! The room was clean, and I loved having the "make my room" option. The bed and pillows were sooooo comfortable- best sleep I've had in a hotel ever.
Disliked: Honestly the bathroom fixtures are tired and worn out; needs an upgrade. Faded gold fixtures are not sightly in what is supposed to be a 5 star hotel chain. The bathroom grout and seal are full of black mould which is super gross to me - I booked the hotel for it's in-room spa tub, but couldn't make myself sit in the tub after seeing all the mould. The showers were short and quick. The light system was a bit confusing, I spent a good 10mins at the start trying to figure out which switches turn on which light - the bathroom basin light was controlled by the light switch next to the bed which was really weird IMO. Also there was a delay in turning on which I realised later and had added to the confusion because I was turning the light switch on and off too quickly... The $100/day deposit was unexpected. Very odd because I've been to other 5star places that only place a hold on the card. I am still waiting for the deposit to be returned.
