Liked: The owners were great. A fun and lively place. We were there for a family party and the kindly gave us a lift to the venue which was outside of town.
Disliked: It is what it is. A Family run hotel in a small rural community. Support and enjoy.

Very good

Liked: Located in a small village with great restaurants close by.
Disliked: Had to leave far too early to get the Edinvurgh Airport - seems close but further away that you think!

Comfortable and welcoming.

Liked: Very hot and comfy shower! Staff was lovely. Unexpexted continental breakfast included, which was great. Nice location, in hindsight a bit fat from Edinbrugh, but very good for the price. Was a great stay, felt very welcoming.

We stayed because we had...

Liked: Continental breakfast was fine and the member of staff who attended to us was pleasant.
Disliked: We like to read in bed - not possible because the lighting was so poor. The en-suite bathroom door squeaked when opened - not good if partner was asleep at the time. I didn’t shave because the mirror was set for someone about 5’3” or less and I am over 6’ . Very steep stairs. Noise heard from people sitting out or smoking outside below our window.Old beds with noisy springs.
