Clean; immaculate; professional staff; excellent restaurant; delicious food; lovely rooms and bathrooms. A quite oasis overlooking parkland in the middle of Hammersmith. Full of history.

Liked: Beautiful hotel; full of character.
Disliked: No peaceful lounge and reception should be enlarged and closed off.

A London Gem

Liked: We loved the historic architectural beauty of this hotel. The outdoor terrace restaurant and surrounding gardens were another appealing addition.
Disliked: We love to walk so this wasn’t a problem for us but the hotel is located in an area where a bit of walking is required to get to the tube station, the Design Museum and beautiful Holland Park.

Beautiful old building with history

Liked: We were upgraded to a suite as they didn't have a twin room and it was great. Lovely facilities and a very interesting history of the Hotel, which they don't make the most of.The suite was spacious, quiet and very well equipped, couldn't have asked for more. Its a lovely old building, not a chain hotel, and the terrace bar and restaurant looked lovely, but we didn't get a chance to sample it.The staff were all really helpful and friendly too.
Disliked: the onl,y reason I marked it down on cleanliness was that the carpets and chairs were very tired looking, the place itself was very clean.

Fabulous breakfast and location -...

Liked: Fabulous breakfast - lovely selection of breads and pastries, smoked salmon and a very well cooked English Breakfast. Great coffee too and plenty of other options.
Disliked: Attic room (34) - very low sloped ceilings. Lift then stairs to get to. No view as velux windows. Desk round corner outside bathroom. Bed was a bit odd (curved and at an angle in order to fit in room) - as a solo traveller was fine but definitely wouldn’t have worked for 2 tall people.
