Liked: Good location for us.
Disliked: Bed's was uncomfortable ,but personal choice.

Exceptional

Liked: The hotel was clean & close to everything in the area.Excellent very close to nearby venue that we were at, so close it was quicker to pop back to use toilet than to get through crowd at venue. .
Disliked: Didn't find anything wrong with it.

Long weekend in Colly for...

Liked: Great location - clean room - good shower
Disliked: ** This hotel has no air conditioning **NO AIR CON !! We had to sleep with the bedroom door wide open as it was so hot. The windows only open a few inches. Absolute joke. They moved us to another room for the 2nd night, with some patio doors that opened, and that was better but not perfectA little over priced to be honest

Great central location, can't moan...

Liked: Great location for exploring Colchester centre. If you don't like noise, best not to pick a hotel on the high street, especially at the weekend. Breakfast couldn't be faulted, following a rest in a very comfy bed. Staff were amazing. Needed a new fan for the room and this was dealt with immediately. Their Sister hotel The George, where you book in and can have breakfast, looked well kept and clean.
Disliked: The room was starting to look tired. Stains on walls and headboard. Windows were dirty. Very warm room, no air con, just a fan. Coffee/Tea making facilities not great and no where to keep drinks cool, such as a mini fridge.

Disliked: Waiting time on breakfast- 30 mins plus and difficult for parking once paid for 24 hrs.

A lovely room eventually. But...

Liked: I liked the room, which was very comfortable and well situated.
Disliked: I had booked a twin room. On arrival the room was a double. We queried this and after some time was told we could have the room with a sofa bed. I objected to this & then a lovely twin room was provided, which I was pleased with. We were provided with complementary breakfast because of this. But surely if there had been a lovely twin room available then why were we expected to put up with a sofa bed which would have been upsetting for us.
