St Nicholas Hotel

Clean room with everything we...

Liked: How close it was to the Theatre. It was a big room and clean (except I found a chocolate button on the floor near the bed)Parking is close to hotel but very tricky to find if new to area (maybe bigger sign to show car park road)breakfast was great and I liked that my daughter ate for free.
Disliked: I would advise giving families rooms that are not near the main high street.We struggles to sleep as we could hear people from the bars and pubs which isn’t great when you have a child trying to sleep. Room 703Would have been nice to know in advance to sign in at St George hotel as we parked, walked to St Nicholas hotel to find out we had to go back. When we came back from being out noticed others standing by the doors looking confusing about how to get in.

Pleasant and comfortable. Slightly noisy.

Liked: Lovely staff over at the George to check in with, great location.
Disliked: Room i stayed in had slightly grubby paintwork in places and the noise from a night club down the side street behind wasn't the best.

Parking and communication issues made...

Liked: Clean, comfortable.
Disliked: Parking is useless. Even with directions it is hard to find and even harder to get into the expensive and tiny car park. This resulted in an uphill lengthy walk from the nearest car park with space. When trying to phone the hotel (twice) it was not answered by anyone and the voicemail directed me to the internet or an application. Apparently there was no option to leave a message even though the usual "tone" was in place at the end of the announcement indicating that there was such a facility. I left a message but nobody called back. I will not be returning
