A very classic English experience

Liked: Classic Manor with a nice garden and friendly staff.
Disliked: Room a bit cold. Food not great.

A great place to stay...

Liked: Good location. Fairly central but quiet and set in a large garden. Plenty of free parking. Friendly, welcoming staff. Comfortable room, good wifi, good choice at breakfast, and hot items cooked to order.
Disliked: Service at breakfast was very slow, although the waitress did apologise for the delay and mistakes. It wasn’t particularly busy so I don’t know why there was a problem in the first place. Also, the toast for the poached eggs wasn’t toast but soggy bread. Not good.In the bedroom the coat hangers were so high I could barely reach them. Similarly everything on the top shelf in the bathroom. Shower controls were very stiff - smooth circular knobs are never easy to to manipulate with wet hands!
