Good B&B

Liked: Everything about the breakfast was superb. Must mention the little scissors in with the sauce sachets - such a thoughtful addition. Caroline was so friendly and hospitable. Abby was a lovely polite young lady. The bathroom was very good. Thank you for the fan it was much appreciated.
Disliked: Our room was a little small but we did book late so hadn’t much option. Radiator needed the grill taking off and given a good clean. A little tired with peeling wallpaper but nothing a refresh couldn’t solve.

Great place to stay.

Liked: St Mary's guest house was the perfect location for us, not too far to walk into the City.We were met by Caroline, (Queen Bee) who made us feel very welcome. The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable. There was a great choice on the menu for breakfast, and everything was freshly cooked and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for Caroline and Abbie, thank you Ladies for making our stay so enjoyable. We would definitely recommend St Mary's, and would not hesitate to stay there again next time we are in York.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Ten minute walk to city center so it was nice to be in a quiet neighborhood. Ten minute walk to train station. Breakfast was adequate, fresh towels everyday.
Disliked: I would have liked shampoo and body wash that is in shower. Only one hand/body wash.

Liked: The location is walkable from most tourist attractions and the railway station as well
Disliked: maybe the narrow stairs to our room

Fantastic stay in a lovely...

Liked: Location was fantastic only a short walk to the center it was so quiet all you could hear was the birds singing. The place was very clean and the room was what we expected, bathroom was good and the shower worked well. Breakfast was extremely good they had a good selection of cereal then full English or scrambled eggs and toast or boiled eggs tea or coffee and juice. The staff were very nice.
Disliked: The only thing I didn't like was it is a tree lined street and my car was covered in bird droppings and sticky tree sap it was only parked for 2 days.
