Excellent, would stay again.

Liked: Very comfortable room and beds. My mother and I shared a twin room with disabled access. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was great, lovely breakfasts and 3course evening meals included in Bed, Breakfast and evening meal rate. Couldn’t fault the services we had.
Disliked: A few parts of the hotel were a little down at heel but it didn’t affect our quality of stay at all.

Liked: The breakfasr was excellent- fresh fruit eg strawberries, melon, blueberries etc & good hot fry-up in included breakfast. Staff served & cleared away quickly. Pleasant ambiance, will stay again.
Disliked: Often no one on reception meant having to get bar staff in order to check in or deal with requests.

Great location accommodation area tired

Disliked: Property is tired window sill of bedrooms peeling paint and “fousty” smell in corridor to bedrooms

Disliked: The breakfast and evening meals are terrible. We have to use this and other GK hotels regularly and it's the same wherever you are. Breakfast tea is from an urn that holds warm water, and as any tea drinker knows tea has to be made with freshly boiled water. The coffee is also horrible so we pay extra for espresso/cappuccino machine which is OK. You rarely get what you order, on our second day I finally got my 5th choice as none of the others I chose from the menu were on. My 5th choice was the same as what I'd had the day before. The food is pretty poor quality and not enough edible vegetarian options. On the hottest part of the year, we are officially in a heat-wave, there was no beer (ale). I mean NO beer. Ironic when you consider that GK is a brewery. Oh and the WiFi! You have to scramble between making a connection and connecting to what you want as it constantly bumps you off. Come on GK, you can do better.
