Fair, not brilliant or even...

Liked: Good size rooms clean and tidy,Looking out over the garden?
Disliked: Although we were staying at the hotel and there was loads of us? Mostly over 60 years old, the bar shut at 11.30 most disappointing as we all have travelled a long way and wanted just one or two more drinks will not be staying there again. The garden area need attention very scuffy with tables and chairs scattered all over

Wouldn't book again.

Liked: Pub food for our evening meal was great. Didn't need to pay for parking. Plenty of room for parking.
Disliked: There was no one at reception when we arrived, and we arrived just at the time when rooms were made available.we rang the desk bell 3 times, waited 20 minutes, and asked the bar staff twice to see if someone could sign us in.When we got yo our room, we found a used wet bathroom towel on our desk, so had to ask a staff member to remove it.There were chips to the painted skirting boards and on side table. The mattress was dented where people had slept and found it really uncomfortable. I woke in the morning with backache. The area for hot drink making had a small pot with the beverages and milk sachets in, but there was nowhere to put the dirty spoons before having to wash them. Would have been nice to have a placemat. The pipes and stand under the bathroom washbasin had not been dusted. The hot tap was so stiff on the basin that it was almost impossible to run. And the tap needed tightening to the wash basin because it moved a lot when we tried to work either the hot or cold tap. When I placed my order for breakfast, the waitress got it wrong. I asked for the avocado on toast with a poached egg (even pointed to the menu) and got a vegetarian breakfast with sausages and hash browns instead. The peppers on the plate hadn't been cooked long enough. I didn't complain because she fidnt seem particularly friendly. When we left, my child left a Cuddly Toy behind. We didn't notice until 2 hrs into our journey home. I totally take 100% responsibility for this. We immediately pulled over to a service station and rang the hotel twice and just kept getting the answerphone. When we got home, I left another two voice messages on their answerphone and nobody bothered getting back to me. I then them the galloping afternoon, got threw to someone who told me that I'd left getting in touch do long that the room would have Bern cleared and already used.

Just what we needed for...

Liked: Excellent breakfast and very good service for supper which we had at about 9:30 pm until 10:30 pm.The room was spacious, as was the bath/shower room which had a good choice of toiletries. The staff were all very pleasant.
Disliked: The car park was big but it was also a bit difficult to walk on.

If we were to stay...

Liked: When we were moved to a super king room , we were very comfortable. There was a lot more light in the bedroom and we are used to a big bed. The bathrooms were clean with clean tile grouting.
Disliked: Our initial room was a room with a double bed which was too small for us. The room had bad lighting and no central light.
