Great location but save money...

Liked: Great location
Disliked: Fairly basic things could have made the experience a whole lot better. Brown haired quiet receptionist was extremely difficult to deal with and lacked people skills. WiFi is intermittent at best. Breakfast is basic, you get better breakfast at a Premier Inn at a fraction of the price. Insane you have to pay a further £10 for cooked meat. We had a real issue with the price paid per night considering it’s just two single beds pushed together, parking and breakfast charges on top for a room with windows which couldn’t open correctly.

Enjoyed our stay at this...

Liked: Comfy beds & pillowsStaff friendly & very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. View from restaurant. Gym above average & spa & pool good. Continental breakfast was very good & replenished frequently.
Disliked: First bedroom immediately over road junction was very noisy & en-suite was too small but we were moved as soon as staff were able to a quieter room with a bigger bathroom. Only option for parking is by porters who valet park your car in a multi storey over the road which costs £10 a day.

Decent Facilities let down by...

Liked: The location was good.So was the view from the room. The spa was good too.
Disliked: Not all the staff were as accommodating as others. When requesting a larger bath robe the first 2 staff members (reception/spa) didn't bother to check while the last member (spa) checked and found a larger robe.At breakfast on checkout day (host/greeter) when requesting a takeout out box , I was told that there was no boxes but later saw other guests with said boxes. At breakfast on checkout day (host/greeter), I requested a latte as the days before but at checkout told that a speciality coffee was charged to the room.Even though the breakfast was included it was not clear that hot breakfast would be an extra £10 at the time of booking. Many guest were surprised by this and opted not to have the have hot breakfast out of principle. The room had several screw heads that poked through the carpet.

Horrendous Hotel Stay and Experience!

Liked: Other than the gentleman working behind the bar, who was very attentive and very polite. I didn't have a positive experience with anyone else.
Disliked: Where do I start. What a terrible experience from start to finish. I don't write reviews, but I felt I needed to warn others about staying at this hotel. From the moment we got to the room, I realised we had the wool pulled over our eyes. The pictures that made us pick this hotel for a weekend stay were nothing like reality. Our room was very compact, that's putting it nicely for the money. The room was 3 degrees hotter than the middle of the sun, and upon opening the window, we realised the noise outside from the road was going to have to be the lesser evil and realised sleep was going to be in short supply at this point. In total, between my partner and i, we registered 6 hours of sleep. This is accurate as we both have smart watches that record sleep patterns. 6 hours in total for a weekend!!!!! The hotel markets itself on rest and relaxation. What a joke. You think this was bad, but after a terrible night sleep due to a red hot room, a very loud road outside and a continual stream of drunk people shouting outside the hotel in the small hours of the morning. We thought we would head down for breakfast for a well needed coffee. We sat down for breakfast and had said coffee. Whilst sat there contemplating what's next, I looked down to the side of my seat and found/saw an open ladies' sanitary product on the floor next to me. I've then tried to inform a member of staff and not to make a scene. I wanted to be discreet as the restaurant was packed at this time, but they didn't come near me for me to mention to them about this situation even after repeated attempts to get their attention. As there was nowhere else to sit, we left at this point, and on the way out, I mentioned it to a member of staff who sort of laughed at me, might have been nervous but I'm done giving benefit of doubt now. So, I went to reception and spoke with a manager who said he would sort it. He apologised and said he would cover the cost of breakfast for us.
