Great location and room was...

Liked: The location was great. Walking distance from a lot of places I visited and the underground. The hotel itself was good for a few nights stay. Room was clean and basic. The lads at reception were very friendly and pleasant.
Disliked: No fault of the hotel but our last night there was a sound of a drill going on most of night like work was being done next door in the hotel or somewhere near the hotel. Not sure exactly where this was happening but It started at 11pm and went on till 7 in the morning when I was leaving for my flight which is not acceptable. I did mention it to reception when I was checking out as I do not think other guests would appreciate listen to this for the whole night

Basic hotel in a good...

Liked: The location near Victoria Station was very convenient for me. It was also easy to walk to the central sightseeing attractions, such as Buckingham Palace or Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. I was staying in the single room with a private bathroom located separately, but I was well aware of that from the description and pictures. The bathroom was clean and it was only used by me, but be aware, that one needs to climb up the stairs to get to it. It was nice that the room had tea/coffee and a kettle. The window was small but had a nice view, and you can even see the Big Ben from it. It was possible to leave the luggage at the reception after check-ou and in general the staff was helpfull.
Disliked: There was a strange smell in the room, of which I informed the reception. As the room was very tiny, there is basically no place at all to put your luggage. I only had a backpack, so it was still ok, but those travelling with a bigger suitcase should be aware.
