St Christopher's Inn Paris - Canal

Nice stay but disappointing management

Liked: The staff were great, and there was a great feel to the place. I enjoyed the welcome drinks to meet some other travellers.
Disliked: Ahead of the stay I received a spam message from the hostel via Booking.com which meant I had to cancel my cards, and they did not offer any apology to me, only sent a generic response. Then on our second day of the stay, the door lock was broken so we were told the door had to be left opened to allow access to the room. We were not offered an alternative room, and while the staff member I spoke with was very apologetic about the situation, the supervisor wasn't concerned despite obvious safety risks with the door of a girls dormitory being unlocked overnight and risk of theft of personal items. No formal apologies were offered either. So ultimately I was a bit disappointed with the management's lack of concern over both issues. The stay otherwise was good, although the rooms are very hot.

Liked: The property was great! I was out and about a lot, but the time I spent there was perfect. The bar had good food and it was right on the seine! 2 for 1 y bombs was nice!

Easily a good stay every...

Liked: I’ve stayed here a few times and always had a positive experience but the staff were especially great this time. I somehow ended up in a room with all men and the staff changed my room right away with no hesitation to an all female dorm. Other positives are that the rooms are spacious, bathrooms are clean and location is easy to find near the metro.
