Budget-Friendly Beds & Beats in Greenwich

Modern hostel vibes meet historic charm at St Christopher's Greenwich, just steps from Greenwich Train and DLR Station. Set in a lively area with easy access to the O2 Arena and central London, this laid-back spot offers a social atmosphere, free WiFi, and a buzzing bar scene—all just a short walk from top Greenwich sights like the Cutty Sark and Royal Observatory.

Why Concert-goers love it

Just 2 miles from the O2 Arena, this hostel makes gig nights easy—with public transport practically on your doorstep. Greenwich Station is a 2-minute walk, connecting you to central London in under 20 minutes. Post-show, you can return to a lively atmosphere or chill out in the lounge or outdoor area. With check-in from 15:00 and check-out at 11:00, there’s time to rest or recover the next day.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for an affordable, fun base

Food and Drink Options

The on-site Belushi’s Bar is a big draw, offering guests a 25% discount on food and regular drinks deals. It’s popular for burgers, wings, and pub grub—and stays open late on weekends. While 24/7 room service isn’t available, the bar and surrounding eateries keep you well-fed. A continental breakfast is available daily, perfect for easing into the day after a late gig.

Nightlife Options

This place doubles as a party spot, with its downstairs bar turning into a DJ-led venue on weekends until 2:00. If you're not done after the encore, it's the perfect place to keep the night going. Want something more low-key? Chill in the lounge or head to one of Greenwich’s nearby pubs or late-night cafes.

What People Say

Guests love the friendly staff, great location near transport, and overall value for money. The energetic atmosphere and bar scene get top marks for solo travelers and groups. Reviewers also appreciate the discounts at Belushi’s and the ease of getting to the O2.

Areas for Improvement

Since this is a hostel-style stay, expect shared bathrooms and weekend noise from the bar downstairs. It’s part of the charm for some, but light sleepers should pack earplugs. Towels aren’t included, so bring your own or rent at reception.

The Bottom Line

A fun, affordable choice with easy access to concerts and nightlife—St Christopher's Greenwich is where budget meets beats.

Unpleasant staff. Lots of noise. Not worth the price. Kitchen closed at 1p.m. on a Saturday. I wouldn't go back ever.

Liked: Close to train station.
Disliked: Pretty much everything.

Get what you pay for

Liked: You get what you pay for and the location is good right next to the tube and station. Good is you’re going to the O2.
Disliked: Main issue I had was I was charged £3 for a key deposit and returned my key with my details into the designated key box instead of reception since it was unmanned. I reached out inquiring about a refund for my deposit but was told I had to return the key to reception for it back which I wasn’t told when I paid it. I don’t see why they would be charging a deposit whilst having a designated key box to return keys if you didn’t get your money back using the box they have…. Seems like a scam. Like if you need £3 extra just put it on the bed cost rather than nonsense deposit which you won’t get back.Other issues, toilets were very dirty and no toilet paper. Bedding was dirty and stained. No working AC or even a window to open (singular window smaller than an a4 piece of paper high up) in the room for 8, felt like a prison and it was very hot could hardly sleep.Again you get what you pay for so don’t expect much but I would recommend other hostels over this one.
