With authentic furnishings of the era guest rooms at St Benedict have a comfortable double bed and tea and coffee facilities. Each has a private external bathroom with a roll-top bath. The full English breakfast is served in the dining room from silver dishes in the manner of a Victorian country house. Evening meals can also be provided on request. Wonderful, unique, characterful and comfortable

Liked: A really gorgeous, unforgettable, eccentric experience. The house is just beautiful, and a joy for any history lover. The gardens are lovely, and the host was a gentle, friendly man who made me feel welcome despite on the first night being the only guest. My friend and I also had a great breakfast on the second morning with all the other guests who had arrived - also history lovers!

The rooms could be useful...

Liked: We were not expecting to know your rooms are true Victorian time. One small unusual, there was no television and no USB socket. Apart from these, it was good experience to know what the life like in 1850. Thank you.
Disliked: In Bath room, no shower but we only stayed one overnight.
