Delightful - sumptuous - comfortable!

Liked: Beautiful building, maintained beautifully from what I could see. I loved all the Xmas trees and decor
Disliked: Nothing!!

Disappointed visit

Liked: The staff were very friendly and lovely
Disliked: Several things were disappointing We were a group of 4 friends that met for our Christmas get together and chose the hotel as we were going to spend time there and eat. The week before we received an email to say the restaurant was full so that was a shame to start with. Therefore we had to book dinner in the city which then meant we had to pay for taxis in and out. The room was a good size but no spare pillows, only 2 glasses in the bathroom, a running hot water tap which was reallyGot, rubbish out of them window which looked messy. We returned to the hotel at 10.45 and wanted to have a drink but the bar was closed and we were told we couldn’t get a drink. However we were residents and this seemed odd when there were private parties happening in the hotel.

Liked: Good location
Disliked: Our room was 506, in an attic area, with very poor access. No hand rail in areas of narrow stair. Very disappointing area for anyone with less than ideal mobility. As we were only staying overnight, we decided to accept the room as we had taken our cases with us when locating the room. I was intending to mention access to check out staff, but as they didn’t ask if we were happy with our stay, felt it wasn’t worth it. Fridge in room was also very noisy, so we switched it off. Our previous stays have been more pleasant.

Exceptional

Liked: Visiting this hotel was our first feel off Christmas the hotel is done up beautifully and many Christmas trees. And the staff were so polite and friendly and helpful.
Disliked: I wouldn't have changed anything.

Nice hotel but not much...

Liked: Great old hotel, nicely furnished.Good pool. Good restaurant.
Disliked: Service seems to be minimal. No bottled water in room. Only one pillow each. No housekeeping. Wallpaper was peeling in our room

Relaxing and fun

Liked: The spa facilities were lovely the room was clean and tidy hotel was lovely location close to Norwich
Disliked: The food wasn’t very nice , had to send my dinner back
