Springmaid Mountain Retreat & Stables

All I could hear was...

Liked: I love Springmaid Mountain Resort. I have stayed here several times and always enjoy the l peaceful tranquility of the place. They have added starling in the cabin I normally stay in which is very nice.
Disliked: I have no complaints

Even with the negatives I...

Liked: Secluded getaway out in the mountains. Nice and Quiet.
Disliked: WiFi Would not stay connected consistently while in the cabin. The network connection was in and out the entire stay. NEED TO BUY NEW PILLOWS THE PILLOWS WER OLD AND STAINED.

Loved the friendly young lady at the desk and the cabin was awesome.

Liked: We like everything about the property. Its quite, we love watching the deer and horses.
Disliked: There was nothing to dislike about the property.

Escape to the mountains

Liked: Views were lovely, overlooking a field of horses and the river. Nice back porch, well equipped kitchen. Hiking around the resort and horse back riding and fishing available.
Disliked: Very steep entry to cabin down a flight of steps. Cable tv didn't work and no wifi, phone connection was ok. Decor a bit dated and steps and rail a bit wobbly. Huge caterpillar and digger out back, said they were removing diseased pines. If they could make a driveway for a back entrance that would solve the steep stairway. This was the only cabin that didn't have a street level entry. The third bedroom was upstairs and a lot warmer than downstairs, split ac was comfortable for downstairs but glad we didn't need that upstairs bedroom.

This is the second time we have stayed and both times were quiet and relaxing.

Liked: Nice and peaceful and secluded. Cabin was was just the right size and very clean.
