Liked: It was tucked away from the main thoroughfare and we had a quiet comfortable sleep. Very convenient to the campus and shopping and restaurants.
Disliked: Our phone didn?t work but told them the problem and they were at our room to replace it within 10 minutes

Liked: The room itself was clean and decent, nothing spectacular but ok. I guess my husband and I overall expected more staying at a Marriott as we have always been happy in the past. We waited about 5 minutes then had to say ?Hello? a few times to actually get some front desk service to be able to check in. Got to the room and only 1 bar of soap was left. It?s kind of silly to only leave 1 bar of soap. Most people need 1 bar for the sink and 1 for the shower. We called the front desk and asked for another. The gentleman that brought it up knocked and said nothing when I opened the door, not even a response when I said thank you. He just simply turned and walked away as if I bothered him asking for an additional bar of soap. The morning breakfast bag was a joke and I wouldn?t even call it a breakfast. It is simply a bottle of water, banana and a Nutragrain bar. I understand the whole covid situation and not having the traditional breakfast bar. But we actually have been traveling the past 10 days and stayed at 2 other hotels along our road trip. The other big name hotels still had a very nice breakfast available despite covid. The last hotels had individually wrapped warm breakfast sandwiches, large individually wrapped muffins, boxes of cereal, assorted wrapped fruit and choices of fresh fruit boxes. The Marriott truly got cheap with providing a breakfast and used covid as an excuse.
Disliked: The breakfast and staff attitudes. Maybe they were having a bad day but you should still be somewhat pleasant when in the hospitality industry.

Liked: Great location! We loved being next-door to The Red Mile where we could watch the horses exercise in the morning. The room was spacious and well appointed with good quality pillows, sheets, towels. The limited interaction we had with the staff was superb.
Disliked: We understand that with COVID-19, services are going to be limited. However, reducing a full buffet breakfast to a banana, bottle of water, and a granola bar was almost an insult. C'mon Marriott, you can and should do better!

From work to wonderful
Liked: On a road that connected to restaurants and shopping and of course close to the campus
Disliked: Nothing that the hotel could change. Ambulance noise happens.
