Nice room, great location, friendly...

Liked: Clean, convenient location, room was nice
Disliked: Communication from different staff members was confusing and contradictory at times. At check in I asked about complimentary breakfast, and was told I had needed to “sign up for it” ahead of time. Knowing I hadn’t done this (and also not recalling that this was an option when I booked) I figured we didn’t get the bkfst. So we didn’t even try and instead went to buy something from the little market. I mentioned that we didn’t sign up for the breakfast and the staff person had no idea what I was talking about and said that all guests got the bkfst, and was very surprised I was told that at check-in. She was very nice and did not charge us for the items we chose from the market (bkfst was over). On another occasion on day 2 of our stay I asked about servicing of the room, as we needed more coffee and towels, and our garbage was getting full. I was told it happened automatically on day 3 but we could also call before 10 if we needed the room serviced. Since the next day was day 3 I said that was fine, and just got more coffee from the front desk and towels from the staff person in the hall. Day 3 we left our room in the morning and returned in the afternoon and the room had not been serviced. When I called the front desk I was told No, that was wrong, they do not service the rooms at all unless you request it, which needs to be done before 10am. This person was a bit rude, saying that it clearly states that in the room. I explained that I was told it would happen regardless of a call on Day 3, and she acted like she didn’t believe me. There were also 3 different explanations from 3 different people as to when the ice water was out for guests. I’m not sure why it just wasn’t out all day but the point is there was marked inconsistency depending on who was working the front desk. I feel there is a definite training issue for the staff at this location leading to inconsistent information being given to guests.

Disliked: Very poor room design. The toilet and shower have frosted glass doors so you can’t turn the light on at night without waking everyone up. Also, there is no towel rack in the toilet so you have to leave the hand towel draped over the faucet on the sink or on the floor. No shelves in shower either so your clothes have to be put on the floor when you change.

Liked: Great location.
Disliked: The room designs in this hotel are bad. The shower and W/C stalls are at the foot of the bed. They provide NO privacy (barely a step above a chamber pot). They also have glass frosted white doors so if you use the W/C during the night the light brightens the entire bedroom. There was no housekeeping during our 3 day stay unless it was explicitly requested. Very noisy, you can hear conversations and water running in the adjacent rooms. I’ll be very careful before booking another stay at a Springhill Suites hotel.

Disliked: The rooms have bathrooms located directly across from beds,these bathrooms have glass sliding doors that are very noisy and light up the whole room after all have retired to bed and a person may need to use the bathroom.Very poor design!!

Liked: Great hotel location, cleanliness, great staff, pool/ gym. Our room 411 -washer and dryer vibrations . Breakfast eggs tasteless. Sausage hard and dry. Coffee More handicap parking needed.
