Overall, I did not get...

Liked: Upon entry did the hotel smell and look great until you went on the floors and into the room where everything looked ran down.
Disliked: Hard white stains on bedding and sofa, chipped furniture as if someone took a hammer to the furniture, rust stains on lamp and shower curtains including the hooks, bathtub floor worn and unpleasant to step on due to its harsh visible wear and tear, AC was not working properly and we woke up in sweat everyday, tissue in bathroom too far to reach if one is on toilet, TV quality very poor, etc. I have never been in such a ran down Springhill Suite as a marriott member. Not to mention, I did not feel safe at all walking the halls to my car especially at night being there were no cameras in sight, elevator took a long time to come, electrical doors were propped open at night and a few room doors on the second floor was also propped open with washcloths as if staff were doing something they should not have been doing. I did not take pictures because I did not want to slow myself down with how skeptical things were looking but I should have!

Disliked: The dresser was missing some of the drawer on the front of it. The TV was old and lagging the entire time. The curtains would not close all the way due to a hook being missing and I could tell the toilet paper had been damp and put on a roll.

Liked: I liked the fact they set me up with a room considering when I booked it with booking it didn't go through they said they didn't get my reservation through booking but they gave me one with almost the same price.
Disliked: The fact I had to ask them to try to find me a room if they could for close to the same price cause my reservation didn't go through.

Good, but don't expect great

Liked: The room was spacious. The property is convenient to town and the highway as well as shopping/food. Beds were comfy. All lights worked and the hot water and air conditioning worked fine. Plenty of parking too. Breakfast was decent.
Disliked: The room came with a couch, but it was not usable because it was FILTHY! It had dust and stains all over it. It's like an after thought that clearly didn't get cleaned along with the room......ever! We did not feel comfortable even setting our bags on it. disgusting. How about shampooing it every now an again? Yuck! Also, the door was difficult to close and you had to almost force it. The stairwell doors slammed like vault doors and need the close rate adjusted. The tub was slick and the lighting in the bathroom was inadequate. only 1 elevator was running, so service was slow getting around the facility. I'm more bothered about the couch than anything, because as a Marriot owned hotel, that is completely unacceptable, especially when the cost wasn't far off from the price of the Courtyard hotels we have stayed at in recent times.
