Bad staff

Liked: The room, the location.
Disliked: Very bad experience. You should really look into your staff. As a business owner, our staff can take us to the sky or bring us down to hell. I visited Miramar with my wife to go to the Shakira concert. we woke up around 9:30am and headed to breakfast to find out everybody in the hotel had gone to the same concert and it was packed. Most of the food was gone and we were in line waiting for the refill when a lady came up (with cuban accent) that she was going to bring out food and breakfast was going to be open until 10am, later than that if have not helped yourself you were "jodidos" which means fucked. At first I thought it was a joke, but seeing everybody really mad, I knew she was from the hotel staff.The day before this, my room had not been attended so I called a young hispanic lady to help me out. She was nice to come to my room and fix everything up. While fixing everything she kept mumbling that the hotel was packed and she was not paid enough. I told her that it was a good thing it was packed, that was income the hotel received and they could pay her salary, but she was frustrated.Another issue, my curtain could not open or close. I asked for it to be fixed but they just curled it to the side. It was made for it to slide, but it didn't.Another issue, I was charged more than my booking. The lady in front desk was nice, but could not identify the mistake and explained herself that it was right but it wasn't. Finally my wife came up with her cellphone and showed her it was the hotel mistake. She said she would fix it. I have to check my credit card statement if they did.Another issue is, I was not informed that I had to pay for parking. It was not on the Bookings website and I showed that to the front desk lady. She said it was something that was established a week ago and still got charged for it.I would really like to get my parking refunded. It is not ok.

Liked: Food,and the room booked here every year
Disliked: 1 for a family of 4, not enough towels and blankets over the weekend. I've asked for blankets and sheets and a pillow , and the lady did give me extra. Unfortunately, there wasn't any pillow available. My wife and I had to use our pillow to give to our kids. the following Saturday, we requested extra towels because in our room, we had enough for everyone to use somehow they people cleaning our room shorten our towels and when asked front desk they didn't have none available. I'm just surprised at the quality of service I received this weekend. I've always booked that hotel every year for 5 yrs cause it was closer to my wife dad house. My wife was very disappointed. There's a hotel next door we may consider next time, but we will see
