Pleasant staff but basic accommodation
Liked: The exceptional warm welcome. The comfortable bed.Generous wardrobe space and sufficient clothes hangers.Pleasant breakfast room.Clean carpets. The B&B is located a short walk into the town centre.
Disliked: The very cramped bathroom. The disgusting seal strips on the bottom of the shower doors. The old (i appreciate that it has passed current regulations), noisy fan. It was an exceptionally hot room (even when the temperature had dropped outside) and this small room (room 8) needs a decent form of air-conditioning.Seeing other rooms, when the doors had been left open, I think that we drew the short straw with this one.We could see that other guests were delighted with their freshly cooked English breakfasts but, we don't eat a cooked breakfast. I do understand that, being a small B&B, it would not be cost-effective to offer a wide range of choice for guests who do not eat a cooked breakfast but, apart from packets of cereals and fruit yoghurts (no natural yoghurt), the only other offering was over-ripe fruit. The same wrinkly oranges were laid out day, after day.Guests are offered tea and (filter) coffee and, when we asked if they had camomile tea, we were pleased to learn that, yes, they did have "weird" tea.White and brown toast is offered but the bread is not of a good quality and, there are little tubs of marmalade, jam and honey. The honey is, perhaps, not a popular condiment because they had crystallised. The car park is very small, and approached by a narrow archway. Some gentle negotiating is required. It should be noted that for 10 rooms there are only 4 parking spaces. The decor is looking a little dated and, all things considered, our stay was not worth the money that we paid.

Disliked: Nothing really but the entrance to the car park is tight and the car park small too if you are driving a midsize car
