Peaceful stay for one night....

Liked: The setting in the woods is beautiful with a nice view on the balcony. The staff was friendly. The breakfast of fresh waffles was good.
Disliked: There are no chairs on the balcony so we couldn’t sit outside and enjoy the scenery. The carpet smelled of urine in one corner. The only restaurant, Uno, is closed on Monday and there are no other restaurants nearby.

Liked: The SpringHouse is comfortable and welcoming. Decor is beautiful and the property is equally beautiful. I enjoyed the breakfast and outdoor swings

Liked: I love the quietness of this location and the Indiana dunes woods so accessible and the great pizza place right on the property. The rooms are big and open onto the woods.
Disliked: no elevator

Nice but could be better

Liked: Property seemed very well cared for and clean
Disliked: The room was very humid, even when running the AC continuously. The pool in the basement might be causing more than desired humidity? The carpet seemed almost damp from the humidity.Also, the staff did not seem on top of things. Like for example the excessive time it takes to check-in, or no pool towels available. And took a long time to get the pool towels when requested. Even the restaurant had one nice lady serving tables, but only one, and could not handle all the customers, while the host was sitting folding napkins when there was already a huge stack of napkins.
